Who these terms cover

These terms apply to cleaning work carried out by Mr&Mrs Steam LLC, trading as Mr & Mrs Steam, for customers in Charlotte, NC and within about 40 miles of it. Booking a job means you accept them.

Quotes and prices

Prices on this site are starting prices. We confirm the exact, fixed price with you from the details you send us, before you book. That price does not change on the day unless you add work, and we tell you the new price before we do it.

Our minimum job is $99. We do not add charges after the quote. If you ask us to do more work on the day, we tell you the new price before we start it.

Booking and cancellation

We do not take a deposit. If you need to move or cancel a booking, call or text us on (980) 497-8003 at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you tell us later than that, we may ask for a $30 deposit to book your next appointment.

Access and preparation

Please clear small items off the furniture or the floor, and keep a parking space free near the door. We bring our own machines, and you provide the water and power for us to use. You do not have to be home during the job. Just tell us how we can get in, and we can stay in touch by phone.

What steam cleaning can and cannot fix

We inspect each item before we start and tell you what we expect to achieve. Some damage cannot be reversed by cleaning, because the fibre itself has changed. That includes bleach marks, dye transfer, sun fading, burns, and wear where the pile is gone.

Old or set-in stains may need a second pass, and some may not lift completely.

Drying

Everything we clean is usually dry in 7 to 10 hours. Air flow speeds this up. Please keep off cleaned carpet until it is dry.

Payment

Payment is due when the job is finished.

If something goes wrong

We carry $1,000,000 liability insurance for accidental damage to your property while we work, for example to a floor or a piece of furniture.

If you are simply not happy with how the cleaning turned out, that is not an insurance matter. Tell us within 48 hours and we will come back and put it right at no charge.

Photographs

We photograph our work before and after. We use those photographs on this site and on our social profiles. We never show your face, your address, or anything that identifies you. Tell us if you would rather we did not photograph your job, and we will not.
